What can I eat on the Keto Diet??
Yum
  • What can you eat on the Keto Diet??? Any meats and poultry; grass fed and organic is best. Processed meats should be kept to a bare minimum. I buy my sausage and bacon from an organic butcher with no added chemicals. Try my Keto Jamaican Jerk chicken, so yummy and delish!! https://kaceysketo.com/keto-jerk-chicken-in-the-oven/
  • Venison, bison, or any fresh game meat
  • Any fish or seafood, try to eat salmon once a week and take a good fish oil supplement. Try Asian Fusion Salmon https://kaceysketo.com/keto-asian-fusion-salmon/
  • Nuts and seeds ( but check the carbs on the package to stay below 20 grams of carbs a day)
  • Healthy fats and oils such as organic butter, olive oil, avocado oil, ghee, and coconut oil
  • Most salad dressings ( check the labels), mayo, mustards, pickles, olives, hot sauce, and salsa. I love to buy new dips and dressings in the ethnic section to spice up my Keto foods, a new favorite is: sweet chili sauce.
  • Eggs ( this includes deviled eggs, my favorite!)
  • Cheese; any type or flavors of cheese!!
  • Yogurt, heavy cream, butter, half-n-half, sour cream, cottage cheese, cream cheese
  • Almond flour
  • Any spices, I try to get at least 1 tsp of turmeric in my diet on a daily basis for cancer prevention and thick hair
  • Tea and coffee not sweetened. I have discovered a love of loose tea mixes that are naturally sweet. I also add cinnamon or nutmeg to my coffee with half-n-half.
  • Water and sparkling waters such as “La Croix”. I fill a glass with crushed ice, a squeezed lemon, and add a can of “La Croix” , it tastes just like an Italian lemon soda…
  • Vegetables that grow above the ground such as: leaf lettuce, broccoli, Swiss chard, spinach, kale, collard greens, mushrooms, herbs, asparagus, Brussels sprouts, cauliflower, cabbage, onions, celery , avocado, zucchini, garlic, tomatoes, green onions, bok choy, any peppers, and jalapenos.
  • You may use lemons and limes for flavoring in water and recipes.
