How to Keep Losing Weight when you Plateau……
Remember Popeye??
Popeye was ahead of his time!! He understood that to get strong your body needs proper nutrition and exercise…… 95% of your body is what you eat!!! Eat 7-10 cups every day of dark colored veggies, berries, and nuts…..Also eat one gram of high quality protein per kg of weight .
Boost Metabolism with HIT!!
A common problem with any diet ( including fasting and Keto) is not losing weight….. Women are particularly prone to this problem, and the older the woman, the more likely this will happen… There is an easy fix, that will also improve your overall heart health and reverse the aging process……… High Intensity Training ( HIT) and proper nutrition….
HIT is free and easy to do at home!!
A HIT program is free, you can do it by yourself, and takes 20 minutes a day…… Ditch the gym and expensive exercise classes and do a free and easy HIT program….. Better yet, find friends, family, and neighbors that will commit to do every morning with you!!
MITO Power is the key to weight loss!!
HIT and proper nutrition will improve your mitochondria upwards of 50-90% ( please refer to You Tube video by Dr. Ford Brewer for the medical study)……Your mitochondria are the MITO power plants of your body, converting fuel ( fat and glucose) to energy and heat…… When your MITO power is increased, your resting metabolism increases, and you burn more fat!!
How to do HIT…….
HIT is easy and takes no equipment….. To be most effective, it should be done in a fasted state first thing in the morning. Your metabolism will then be boosted all day……
A HIT program involves: 5 minutes of stretching, 3 minute warm-up (I do marching in place ), then 55 second intervals of squats, planks, glute bridge, crunches, light weights for arms, etc……… Do your core exercise for around 5-10 minutes according to your schedule, then “Run Forrest Run!!!”
Run for 30 seconds, about the length of a parking lot, you should be out of breath and unable to talk …. Drink water, then repeat 5-10 minutes of core exercise….
Complete three intervals of this workout, then 5 more minutes of stretching…..
Stretching is the key to avoid injury and cool down muscles, always do a thorough stretching routine before and after you work out….. Also, hydrate all day!!!
As always, your should consult a physician first and have a through annual physical before embarking on any exercise program……
