Are you always Hungry??? Have you tried to Lose Weight with No Success??

Why do you always feel so hungry or “hangry” when you try to diet??? Why is it that no matter how hard you try, how much money you spend, or how much you deprive yourself, you can’t manage to lose weight??? Did you realize that you were trying to lose weight the wrong way??? Calories-in/calories-out is the “classic” way you have been taught to lose weight, but it is only one small part of the key to weight loss!!

What is the Important Thing about Losing Weight???

How to reduce your appetite without the expensive drug Ozempic??? The most important thing that you need to know right now, is that losing weight is in your “brain” not your willpower!! To lose weight, you need the right complex array of hormones… Leptin, is the “good” hormone that tells your brain that you are full and not hungry. Gherlin is the “bad” hormone that increases hunger and appetite. Interestingly, overweight people, feel more hunger, even though their bodies could easily survive off of their stored fat for months!!

Dieting increases Ghrelin, so you feel more hungry!!

Reduce your appetite by not dieting!! Why do you feel more hungry when you diet??? Your body has adapted over the last 200,000 years to interpret a lack of food as famine and potential starvation. Abundant food has only occurred over the last 200 years, which is 1/1000 of human history!! So your body ramps up the ghrelin to encourage you to hunt and gather more food for the tribe…. Calorie restriction will make your feel more hungry, so eat the calories recommended for your weight, but eat the right foods, and add resistance training 4-5 days a week.

Ozempic is a diabetes type 2 drug that reduces appetite.

Natural ways to have the results of ozempic without the hefty cost and side effects!! The key is reducing the ghrelin in the body and increasing leptin ( Greek for thin). Body fat causes resistance to leptin, so that you feel hungry even after you have eaten. High levels of insulin also trick your brain to craving more food even though you have just eaten.

Processed Foods and Sugar are the Evil Ways Food Companies have hacked your Hormones to make you fat!!

Phillip Morris ( maker of Marlboro cigarettes) bought Kraft Foods on 1988 and employed the same principles of addiction to food that they used for cigarettes!! Walk into any grocery store, and you will see aisles of sugary, salty, fatty, processed food everywhere!! 75% of the food in grocery stores is “highly processed!!” This highly processed food makes you “binge eat” and more hungry…. Eat a whole bag of Taki’s, you have consumed at least hundreds of unnecessary calories and don’t feel the least bit full….. Processed foods are full of dangerous chemicals that cause you to “binge eat” just like nicotine makes people addicted to tobacco!!! Just waling in a grocery store is a “trigger” to binge eat…..

How to get your Hormones back to Normal??

Is it possible to get your hormones back to normal?? To feel full after eating?? To burn fat instead of storing fat?? YES!!! You can hack your hormones by avoiding certain foods and activities and replacing those foods with healthy choices and the right exercise!! Eating 2-3 healthy Mediterranean Diet meals, staying well-hydrated, getting 4-5 days of resistance training a week, getting enough sleep, and reducing stress will help you “burn that belly fat!!!”

What to Avoid so that you can Decrease your Appetite and Lose Weight??

  • Sugar
  • processed foods
  • Crunchy, salty foods
  • Eating in front of the TV, Netflix or your phone
  • Fatty foods combined with sugar or salt
  • Eating more than three meals a day
  • Being dehydrated
  • Being tired
  • Being stressed
  • Drinking sugary drinks all day
  • Coffee with sugar
  • Buttery foods with salt and sugar
  • Sugar substitutes
  • Intense Aerobic exercise

What to Do Instead to Decrease your Appetite??

  • Practice intermittent fasting, eat your first meal at noon
  • Eat a Mediterranean “whole foods” diet
  • Eat a low carb diet
  • Drink lots of water all day
  • Drink coffee with 2 scoops of collagen in the morning
  • Walk 10,000 steps a day ( preferably outside)
  • Lift weights ( practice progressive overload) 4-5 days a week
  • Get a plenty of sleep!!
  • Take a 20 minute nap and drink a huge glass of water when you feel “hangry!!”
  • If eating, grab a good book to read instead of swiping through social media ( which always makes you feel inadequate about your life). I like to read suspenseful books, so I barely focus on what I am eating!!
  • When you eat with friends or family, eat slowly, play some music, put down your phone, light some candles, make each meal an opportunity for fellowship instead of consuming calories.
  • Stop grazing!! Raccoons graze, for the last 200,000 years, humans have been lucky to have one good meal a day, out bodies have not adapted to the endless buffet that is the Standard American diet!!
  • Eat 7-10 cups of veggies/berries a day
  • Eat 100 grams of lean protein a day… I love a can of chicken breast mixed with mayo and pickles, 40 grams of protein!!
  • Drinking hot or cold tea ( with no sweetener) will reduce your appetite. Green tea reduces belly fat, ginger/turmeric tea is good for boosting testosterone, and fennel tea will stop your stomach from growling.
  • Eating salty foods that have no sugar or fat will also decrease appetite: miso soup, a chicken bouillon cube in boiling water, pickles, sardine, and olives will all make you feel less hungry with very little calories
  • Cottage cheese is the favorite food of bodybuilders for a reason!! It takes hunger away, high protein, and low in calories. I add berries and sliced mango!!
